Choosing Halloween lenses
To choose your Halloween contact lenses, the easiest way is to start with your costume or the character you want to create. Vampire, zombie, demon, fantasy creature… the desired look will obviously not be the same! 🧛
Do you already know what you are looking for? Take a look at our Halloween lens collection. Otherwise, here are a few tips to help you choose.
1. Find the style that matches your character
The choice depends mainly on the effect you want to give your eyes. We have photos of each model being worn: two lenses of the same color can have a completely different look depending on their pattern. Feel free to send us a message if you would like to see another photo of the lens or even the lens itself in its packaging!
2. Think about your natural eye color
A lens will not necessarily give exactly the same result on everyone. The natural color of your iris, the light, makeup, and the pattern of the lens can change the final look. If photos of the lenses being worn are available on the product page, they can help you get a better idea. Do you have dark eyes and are you looking for a very light or very high-contrast effect? Feel free to contact us before ordering if you have any doubts about a model!
3. Look closely at the dimensions
On the product pages, you will find several pieces of information such as the DIA, the colored diameter, or even the BC.
The DIA corresponds to the total diameter of the lens, while the colored diameter corresponds to the visible part of the pattern. The BC, on the other hand, corresponds to the curvature of the lens.
We offer several formats, including regular diameters, mini sclerals, and scleral lenses.
However, please note: Lenses must above all be adapted to your eyes. Even for non-prescription decorative lenses, it is recommended to ask a healthcare professional for advice.
4. Check if the model is sold individually or as a pair
One important detail: depending on the reference, the price may correspond to a single lens or to a pair.
So be sure to check the title, the selected variant, and the "Content" section of the product page before placing your order.
You will also sometimes see mentions such as 3 months or 12 months. This is the replacement period provided by the manufacturer, not a duration during which the lens can be worn continuously. The vast majority of our lenses are annual, but some brands can only be used for 1 month!
For daily wear time and care, always follow the product instructions as well as the recommendations of your healthcare professional.
5. Be careful with lenses that reduce vision
Some lenses, such as Blind or Mesh models, have a pattern that covers the pupil.
The result can be very impressive, but vision is greatly reduced.
Read the instructions on the product page carefully before using them. Avoid driving or engaging in an activity requiring precise vision with this type of lens, in particular.
6. A few simple rules before wearing them
Fancy lenses are still contact lenses and therefore require some precautions.
- Always wash and dry your hands before handling them.
- Use only a solution suitable for lenses, never water.
- Remove them before showering or swimming.
- Follow the cleaning and replacement instructions.
- Do not sleep with your decorative lenses in.
- Never share your lenses with anyone else.
If you experience pain, unusual redness, or a decrease in vision, remove the lenses immediately and consult a healthcare professional.
To learn more about usage precautions, you can also consult the CDC recommendations on wearing and caring for lenses and those of the FDA regarding decorative lenses. (Links in English)
7. Do not order your lenses at the last minute
Halloween always seems to arrive faster than we think!
Before ordering, check that the desired variant is available and consult our shipping policy to find out the estimated delivery times.
Ideally, allow yourself a little extra time before your party or event. This will give you time to receive your lenses and carefully check that everything is in order.
